DocSolid and GLC Team for Facilities and Records Management Scanning Solution

GLC Adds Integrated KwikTag Legal Scanning to Its Records and Facilities Management Offering

ROCHESTER, NY (August 19, 2013) – GLC Business Services today announced a new partnership with DocSolid, a leader in enterprise document scanning solutions for the legal market, to integrate the KwikTag Legal scanning solution with GLC’s facilities management and records management services. As part of its standard services offering, GLC provides the KwikTag® Legal solution, system administration, and related labor to capture incoming paper digitally. GLC clients reduce the costs associated with paper records, enabling image capture integrated with the firm’s Autonomy iManage, Open Text EDOCS, Worldox, NetDocuments, Elite and Aderant systems.

“GLC has been helping us attack our paper with scanning,” said Brian Eckert, Executive Director, Phillips Lytle, a 200 attorney firm located in Buffalo, NY. “Initially we focused on Records, but now we are planning to expand the KwikTag system into our front office, to capture paper on the way in the door, fully profiled in our Open Text EDOCs system.”

KwikTag Legal’s patented process makes it easy and productive for legal secretaries, paralegals and attorneys to profile paper documents directly in their document management system, then tag the document with a bar code label. GLC workers do regular pickups of tagged documents using KwikBaskets™, and provide scanning, QC and document disposition services. This service let’s the front office work with images instead of paper, while the back office seamlessly provides the work to make it happen.

“GLC brings something extra to the KwikTag party,” said Steve Irons, president of DocSolid. “Their expertise in records adds a significant element to the overall process of enterprise scanning, enabling custom workflows, lifecycle paper management, and vigorous back office support services. KwikTag can be a game-changer for a firm committed to cutting their paper costs, and GLC is uniquely qualified to fill in the gaps to operate the system.”

“KwikTag has become a vital part of our services, providing us a clearly differentiated value for our customers,” said John Hayes, COO of GLC. “All law firms today want to get serious about scanning. KwikTag is the best way to do that, and GLC operates the system to achieve superb results.”

KwikTag Legal simplifies self-serve scanning as well, by working with any networked multifunction printer, copier or scanner, and turning them into a one-button, stack scanning operations.
